Michael Rawlins

Producer-Director

Michael is a former broadcast journalist who left that world for a life on the water. He traveled through some of the biggest piracy "hotspots" while serving as a Merchant Marine officer for 15 years. Author of The Last American Sailors: A Wild Ride in the Modern Merchant Marine, (iUniverse, 2003), his work has been featured in Professional Mariner Magazine and City Lights Publishing's Instant City series of short stories. He's been a frequent talk radio guest on maritime security issues.

David M. Crabtree

Producer-Cinematographer-Editor

David is a young adventure filmmaker. He holds a degree from the USC School of Cinema-Television and also studied at FAMU in Prague, Czech Republic. When not making movies, he writes for the Buckminster Fuller Theater Company, works for Life Preserver Digital Archiving, LLC, and plays with his new German Shepherd.
He currently works and resides in Los Angeles.

Robert J. Duke, Jr.

Logistical Coordinator

Robert holds a U.S. Coast Guard license as Oceans Master with over a quarter century as a professional Merchant Mariner. A graduate of Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Bob has traveled extensively throughout the world during his experiences as a senior navigation officer and oil industry consultant. The son of a U.S. Navy submarine captain, he has lived and worked in Brazil, the Caspian Sea, and West Africa. He and his family reside in Florida.
